International photo-journalist Shahidul Alam was arrested late in the evening on Sunday 5 August, 2018. He was detained soon after being interviewed on Al Jazeera, and a day after broadcasting on Facebook Live about road safety protests in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
This simple site has been created to provide a reminder of the facts behind the incarceration of Shahidul Alam.
It consists of just three pages. Transcripts of the Facebook Live broadcasts, a transcript and video of the Al Jazeera interview, and the transcript of Tasneem Khalil's Facebook Live analysis of the arrest of Shahidul Alam.
